Mitchell Leeson

Mitchell served 7 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Marine Technician, working across fleet maintenance and operational deployments. After discharge, he saw how many of the veterans he had served with were either unaware of their entitlements or struggling to navigate the DVA system without support.

Seeing mates leave the ADF without claiming conditions that were clearly service-related, and watching others have claims knocked back because the evidence was not there, led Mitchell to co-found Clear Path Veterans with Luke Martin in 2022.

As CEO, Mitchell oversees Clear Path Veterans' operations and client advocacy. He works directly with veterans on DVA compensation claims, CSC invalidity applications, and incapacity payment assessments. His focus is on ensuring every veteran who comes to Clear Path Veterans receives a clear assessment of their entitlements and a structured plan to claim them.

Mitchell's technical background in the Navy gives him a practical understanding of the physical demands of ADF service, from workshop environments to ship-board operations, which directly informs how Clear Path Veterans builds the evidence narratives that connect service activities to health conditions.
