Mitchell Leeson

Mitchell served 7 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Marine Technician, working across fleet maintenance and operational deployments. After discharge, he went through the DVA claims process himself and saw how many veterans were either unaware of their entitlements or struggling to navigate the system without support.

The experience of managing his own DVA claims — combined with seeing mates leave the ADF without claiming conditions that were clearly service-related — led Mitchell to co-found Clear Path Veterans with Luke Martin in 2022.

As CEO, Mitchell oversees Clear Path Veterans' operations and client advocacy. He works directly with veterans on DVA compensation claims, CSC invalidity applications, and incapacity payment assessments. His focus is on ensuring every veteran who comes to Clear Path Veterans receives a clear assessment of their entitlements and a structured plan to claim them.

Mitchell's technical background in the Navy gives him a practical understanding of the physical demands of ADF service — from workshop environments to ship-board operations — which directly informs how Clear Path Veterans builds the evidence narratives that connect service activities to health conditions.
