Attendant care

What it is

Support with personal tasks you can no longer safely manage alone because of your accepted conditions, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility around the home, and medication management.

Who's eligible

  • You have an accepted condition, physical or mental health, that limits your ability to safely manage personal care tasks.

How to get it

  1. 1

Usually assessed alongside household services in the same process. Your GP, OT, or case manager documents the specific tasks you need help with.

  2. 2

DVA arranges an approved provider once the assessment is complete.
