DVA Claims Help for Veterans in Perth
Clear Path Veterans supports ADF veterans across Perth and Western Australia with DVA compensation claims, CSC invalidity applications, and appeals. Whether you served at Campbell Barracks, HMAS Stirling, Irwin Barracks, or RAAF Pearce, we help you get the entitlements you've earned.
All our consultations are remote. Phone and video, no matter where you are in WA.
Perth has one of the most specialised veteran populations in Australia. SOCOMD veterans from Campbell Barracks carry complex multi-deployment claim profiles spanning PTSD, musculoskeletal injuries, and conditions from operational service in Afghanistan, Iraq, and regional deployments. Submariners from HMAS Stirling present with hearing loss, musculoskeletal conditions from confined working environments, and mental health conditions from the unique demands of submarine operations. We handle both.
We also help Perth veterans navigating the 1 July 2026 VETS Act changes. If you have DRCA conditions previously below the 10% threshold, or you're a VEA veteran whose service pension entitlements are changing, the transition to the harmonised MRCA framework may open new compensation pathways. Book a call before July if you're unsure how the changes affect your situation.

Perth has one of Australia's most concentrated veteran populations, driven by HMAS Stirling and the submarine fleet, the SAS and SOCOMD at Swanbourne, and RAAF Pearce at Bullsbrook. We regularly handle complex PTSD claims from special forces veterans, noise-induced hearing loss from submarine and flight operations, musculoskeletal injuries from the demands of combat and commando service, and CSC invalidity disputes for early-separated personnel across MSBS, DFRDB, and ADF Cover.
DVA Compensation Claims
We prepare and lodge initial liability claims under the MRCA, VEA, and DRCA. We handle the evidence, medical liaison, and claimant report forms so your claim is strong before it reaches a delegate.
Permanent Impairment
We help you prepare for your PI assessment and make sure your impairment points and lifestyle rating reflect the real impact on your life.
CSC Invalidity Classification
If you've been medically discharged, your CSC invalidity classification determines your ongoing pension. We help with initial classifications, reconsiderations, and reclassification reviews across MSBS, DFRDB, and ADF Cover.
Appeals and Reviews
If your DVA claim has been refused or your CSC classification is wrong, we help you challenge the decision through reconsideration, the Veterans' Review Board, or the Administrative Review Tribunal.
Serving Veterans Across Western Australia
Perth's military presence spans all three services, with a particularly strong Navy footprint through HMAS Stirling and one of Australia's most operationally specialised Army bases at Campbell Barracks. We work with veterans across Perth, Rockingham, Mandurah, Fremantle, Joondalup, and wider WA, including Exmouth and regional areas, who served at:
Campbell Barracks (Swanbourne)
Home to Australia's Special Operations Command (SOCOMD), including the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR), 4th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (Commando), the Special Operations Engineer Regiment (SOER), and the Special Operations Logistics Squadron. Campbell Barracks is the most operationally deployed base in Australia, virtually every major operation from Somalia through to Afghanistan involved personnel from Swanbourne. SOCOMD veterans carry some of the most complex claim profiles we handle: PTSD from multiple high-intensity deployments, accumulated musculoskeletal injuries from years of physical conditioning and operational activity, traumatic brain injuries from blast events, hearing loss from weapons and explosives, and conditions arising from classified or sensitive service activities. We handle all claims with full discretion, you only disclose what's necessary to support your specific conditions.
HMAS Stirling (Garden Island, Rockingham)
The Navy's west coast fleet base, home to ANZAC-class frigates, Collins-class submarines (including HMAS Rankin, Sheean, Dechaineux, Waller, Farncomb, and Collins), and the future home of SSN-AUKUS nuclear-powered submarines. Stirling is the centre of Australian submarine operations. Submariners carry a distinctive profile: hearing loss from machinery noise in confined spaces, musculoskeletal conditions from cramped working environments and heavy equipment handling, mental health conditions from the psychological demands of extended submerged patrols, and conditions arising from shift patterns and circadian disruption. Surface ship personnel from Stirling have similar hearing, musculoskeletal, and mental health claim profiles, particularly those deployed on regional operations. A large Navy community lives in Rockingham and Safety Bay.
Irwin Barracks (Karrakatta)
Army Reserve headquarters and support units in Perth's western suburbs. Irwin Barracks houses administrative and logistics units for WA-based Army Reserve formations. Reserve veterans posted here during continuous full-time service periods, or who sustained injuries during unit training activities, are eligible to claim under MRCA or DRCA in the same way as regular personnel.
RAAF Base Pearce (Bullsbrook)
Located north of Perth, RAAF Pearce is home to No. 2 Flying Training School (PC-21 Pilatus turboprop trainers) and the RAAF's ab initio and basic flying training pipeline. Pearce also hosts the Royal Singapore Air Force training program. Personnel at Pearce are exposed to sustained aircraft noise from turboprop and jet trainer operations, and the physical demands of aviation roles. Hearing loss is the most commonly claimed condition for Pearce-based veterans.
Northam Army Camp
Regional training area east of Perth, used for Army field exercises, live-fire training, and reserve unit activities. Veterans who trained or instructed at Northam accumulate the same noise and musculoskeletal exposures as those at permanent bases, all claimable under MRCA or DRCA.
Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt (Exmouth)
Remote Navy communications facility in WA's north-west, approximately 1,270km from Perth. Harold E. Holt is a joint facility with the United States and one of the world's most powerful very low frequency transmitters. Personnel posted here serve in an isolated, remote environment with limited access to services. Conditions arising from remote and isolated service, including mental health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries from limited recreation options, are claimable. DVA-funded transport for medical appointments is available for veterans living in remote WA.
If you served at any of these locations, or anywhere else in WA, and you have conditions related to your service, we can help you claim.
